Innocent in Her Enemy's Bed was about 24-year-old Ilona Callas, the CEO of Callas Cosmetics, and 32-year-old Leander Vasilou, a rich Greek businessman bent on righting a wrong. Leander and Ilona met for the first time when she arrived at his office for a meeting regarding her company and the company of her family. While there, she learned that Leander was planning on buying up all the shares he could from both companies in order to not only dismantle them but also to have vengeance against her half-brother for stealing his family's technology and getting rich by declaring it as his own. What started out as him informing her of his plan turned into him offering her marriage. In exchange, he would give her 100% control of her own company, and in return, she would give him her shares in her late father's business so he could oust her half-brother from his role as president of the company. There was a lot of angst and drama in this story, with little-to-no humor to lighten the mood. There was betrayal left and right, along with anger, torment, and heartache. The gamut of emotions was in full swing throughout the story. The twists and turns were unending, and the plot took many paths before reaching its ultimate conclusion. There were many surprises along the way. Both the main characters were fully developed, fleshed out, and mature. However, the MMC had more growth that needed to be done, and the author didn't fail on that. The grammatical errors in the novel were plentiful, and quite distracting at times. Even though it was only 13 chapters long, it did have a lot of fluff to overcome, as well as several unresolved issues. The story got boring at times but ended with a good epilogue. From the way the story flowed, I could only give it a three-star rating.
